We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Director of FP&A to lead our finance business partner team. In this pivotal role, you’ll shape financial strategy, drive business performance, and ensure Instructure’s long-term financial health as we enter our next phase of growth under private equity sponsorship. Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, you will partner closely with the executive team and department heads, delivering data-driven insights and guidance to support critical decisions.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in SaaS business models and metrics, expense and cash forecasting, exceptional financial modeling skills, and a proven record of building and leading high-performing teams.
Requirements
- 8–10+ years of progressive finance experience, including 3–5+ years leading an FP&A team.
Proven success in a private equity–backed SaaS company, including building pro forma financial statements for acquisitions, restructuring, and long-range planning.
Proficiency with financial planning tools (Adaptive Planning, Anaplan) and ERP systems (NetSuite).
Strong forecasting and reporting skills for key cash flow metrics, including Cash EBITDA and Free Cash Flow.
Advanced Excel skills and the ability to build dynamic financial models.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial data for non-financial stakeholders.
Strong leadership, project management, and people management abilities.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
Collaborative and team-oriented, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships across the organization.
