About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Technical leadership of development teams, data scientists, and AI engineers.
Define deployment strategies for the AI Center, including resource allocation and timelines.
Ensure integration of AI solutions with legacy systems and IT infrastructure.
Design and implement machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing (NLP) models.
Optimize algorithms for high performance in big data and cloud computing environments.
Develop data pipelines for model training and validation.
Apply agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) to track goals and deliveries.
Prepare technical and management reports for stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with AI security and ethics regulations (e.g., LGPD).
Foster research into emerging technologies (e.g., generative AI, edge computing).
Collaborate with universities and strategic partners in the innovation ecosystem.
Up-skill teams through mentoring and technical training.
Develop test plans for functional and performance validation of AI systems.
Conduct unit, integration, and field tests to ensure robustness and reliability.
Identify and fix bugs, optimizing code for improved performance.
Work closely with hardware, software, and mechanical teams to ensure full system integration.
Participate in project meetings for technical alignment and requirements definition.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related fields
Advanced English
Proven experience in software development, with significant focus on AI/ML projects.
Experience leading technical teams and managing complex projects.
Experience deploying solutions in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and integrating with high-availability systems.
Knowledge of privacy and ethics regulations applicable to AI (e.g., LGPD).
Proficiency in languages: Python, R, SQL and frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
Experience with REST/gRPC APIs, microservices, and containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and big data tools (Spark, Hadoop).
Familiarity with DevOps/MLOps and CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins).
