About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as dedicated Benefits Specialist for HR Scale clients
- Lead benefits information and processes for key client contacts
- Research and formulate responses to complex benefit issues
- Ensure Insperity and clients comply with benefit laws and regulations
- Prepare communications and presentations using Health & Welfare Legal approved language
- Deliver benefit education presentations to worksite employees in person and virtually
- Lead benefit projects and ensure completion of objectives
- Apply due diligence to clients’ unique circumstances, including COBRA takeovers, deductible credits, and transition of care
- Educate clients on benefits policies and procedures
- Serve as liaison on benefits technologies and products
- Research issues, escalate appropriately, and recommend benefit solutions
- Identify trends, root causes, and recommendations for improvement
- Provide information to team members based on client interactions
- Collaborate with internal partners on new laws and trends
- Establish relationships with Contact Center, Health & Welfare, and vendor/carriers
- Design and implement benefits training agendas with the Service Team
- Mentor team members and serve as a subject matter expert or project team member
- Analyze benefit information supplied by clients and worksite employees
- Review reports and documents affecting benefit coverage
- Participate in prospective client meetings to provide benefit plan overviews
- Support process and audit efforts for Sarbanes-Oxley, ERISA, and HIPAA compliance
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
- Five to seven years of work experience in customer service, HR Onboarding, or Benefit Administration, or a minimum of two years equivalent work experience with Insperity or PEO Industry is required
- Five to seven years of experience in healthcare claims and benefit administration is required
- Group Benefit Associate (GBA) certification is preferred
- Travel up to 50% of time
- Extensive knowledge of Insperity Benefit Plans
- Knowledge of benefit laws and regulations
- Mastery of all Insperity Plan Documents
- Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley, ERISA, and HIPAA compliance
