About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Receive employee paperwork from Middle Market clients, including new hires, employee changes, and terminations
- Uphold the integrity of client and employee databases and ensure compliance requirements are met
- Receive and process payroll information and produce client-specific payroll checks, invoices, and standard payroll reports
- Ensure payroll input accuracy by balancing input to payroll worksheets and payroll reports
- Coordinate with the Finance Department and follow up with clients to ensure funds are received
- Provide backup documentation to the Finance Department for wires when needed
- Maintain accurate payroll delivery instructions in the system
- Train with the Payroll team, Supervisor, and Payroll Trainers to develop skill levels
- Attend weekly department training meetings and review the procedure manual on an ongoing basis
- Establish clear communication with clients, employees, and team members
- Consult with the Supervisor and Payroll Trainer when responding to new or different client and employee questions
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Bachelor's Degree in related field is preferred
- 1+ years of relevant work experience is required
- Ability to process new hire, employee change, and termination information
- Ability to maintain accurate client and employee databases
- Ability to process payroll information accurately
- Ability to balance payroll input to worksheets and reports
- Ability to coordinate with Finance and follow up with clients
- Ability to attend training meetings and review procedure manuals
- Ability to communicate clearly with clients, employees, and team members
- Must work under much supervision with no decision-making authority
