About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee the credit management processes, ensuring efficient operations, preserving customer relations, and minimising financial risks.
- Develop, implement and monitor credit control systems and policies.
- Maintain accurate records of customer payments and credit history.
- Review and refine the credit risk management framework.
- Collaborate with internal departments to optimise credit control procedures and customer satisfaction.
- Act as the credit management liaison with external partners and clients, ensuring efficient communication and issue resolution.
- Prepare detailed financial reports related to credit performance and present findings to senior management.
- Conduct thorough analyses of debtors, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Perform regular credit risk assessments to mitigate potential financial exposure.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing credit-related inquiries and resolving disputes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies related to credit management.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in credit management or a related role, with a proven track record of managing credit risk and collections.
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret financial data and trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with Sage 200 or other financial management software.
