About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee the credit management processes, ensuring efficient operations, preserving customer relations, and minimising financial risks.
  • Develop, implement and monitor credit control systems and policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer payments and credit history.
  • Review and refine the credit risk management framework.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to optimise credit control procedures and customer satisfaction.
  • Act as the credit management liaison with external partners and clients, ensuring efficient communication and issue resolution.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports related to credit performance and present findings to senior management.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of debtors, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Perform regular credit risk assessments to mitigate potential financial exposure.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing credit-related inquiries and resolving disputes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies related to credit management.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in credit management or a related role, with a proven track record of managing credit risk and collections.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret financial data and trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with Sage 200 or other financial management software.
