Senior Installation & Commissioning Engineer

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead on-site installation and commissioning of smart metering and AMR systems.
- Provide technical guidance to engineers and subcontractors.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and act as the senior technical escalation point.
- Support Project Managers with planning, coordination, and real‑time site feedback.
- Produce clear, accurate technical documentation and installation records.
- Carry out compliance audits and uphold safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Liaise with clients and third‑party providers to resolve technical challenges.
- Manage tools, stock, and equipment responsibly.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong field engineering experience (smart metering, electrical, controls, or similar).
- Confidence leading on-site activities and mentoring others.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and a commitment to safe, high‑quality work.
- Clear communication and a professional approach with clients and colleagues.
