About the role

  • Develop, review and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles and collections for automating servers, applications, networks and services.
  • Automate provisioning, configuration and deployment processes, ensuring standardization and reduced human error.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines integrated with Ansible automations.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible and, where applicable, Terraform.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve deployment workflows and automation governance.
  • Support troubleshooting of automated environments, pipeline errors, integration failures and configuration issues.
  • Document automations, standards, versions and best practices.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects, environment optimization and cost reduction through automation.
  • Ensure automations comply with security, compliance and access segregation requirements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience creating automations and developing Ansible playbooks.
  • Solid background in DevOps, SRE or Linux administration with a focus on automation.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containers, cloud and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Hands-on experience in enterprise environments with automated deployments, large-scale configurations and environment standardization.
  • Primary focus on automation.
  • Mastery of Ansible: development of complex playbooks.
  • Creation of roles and collections.
  • Operation of Ansible Tower / Automation Platform.
  • Dynamic inventories.
  • Version control using Git.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Rocky, Ubuntu).
  • Cloud and Docker containers (image creation, troubleshooting).
  • Kubernetes or OpenShift (general concepts and basic deployments).
  • Desirable knowledge of AWS, Azure or GCP.
  • Advanced Shell scripting; Python (desirable).
