About the role

  • Insight Investment is looking for a Developer to join the Fusion Integrated Solutions team in London. As a Developer, you will work on a greenfield project, building new strategies which utilise CDI (Cashflow Driven Investment) and LDI (Liability Driven Investing), to manage corporate pension risks for our clients.
  • The software is built using the latest React technology stack and micro-frontends backing onto .NET Core 8 services hosted in Azure using Kubernetes and SQL Server databases hosted in Azure SQL. We are constantly driving forward, with an aim to maintain the latest technology stack and addressing tech debt to keep our platform up to date.
  • You will work in one of the most high-profile development teams within Insight, using Agile methodologies and Kanban and the latest .NET technology. You will work closely with the business and be involved in all aspects of the systems development life cycle (SDLC) and working with other product teams within Insight.
  • Role Responsibilities
  • As a Developer, beyond your day-to-day development work you will:
  • Work across the full stack, with a focus on frontend development to deliver high-quality testable code to deliver new product features.
  • Provide technical advice to other developers and take an active role in designing new technical standards.
  • Take ownership for driving change and innovation, bring relevant teams together and lead retrospectives.
  • Assess and recommend architectural patterns based on functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Present information concisely to individuals within and outside of the Technology function.
  • Mentor the wider team to support the Team lead and help optimise team performance.
  • Participate in and, where appropriate, lead meetings with business stakeholders. You will work closely with the business and be involved in all aspects of the software lifecycle. The focus will be developing cloud-native applications to digitise Insight’s investment process for the front office.
  • Experience Required
  • C# / .NET Framework / .NET Core experience
  • Experience working with SQL Server, writing TSQL
  • Experience working in Agile teams performing iterative development
  • Fundamentals and approaches: OOP, SOLID principles, TDD/BDD/ATDD
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity / Artifactory)
  • Ability to collaborate with end users, stakeholders, and team members
  • Programming as part of a team and performing peer code reviews
