What you’ll need

A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in education or public policy reporting.
Demonstrated ability to report on racial and socioeconomic inequities with rigor, nuance, and sensitivity.
Strong news judgment and the ability to generate original story ideas.
Comfort working in a fast-paced digital newsroom with daily deadlines.
Familiarity with higher education data sources (IPEDS, NCES, institutional research) is a plus.
