About the role
- Serve as the subject matter expert for product areas involving medical billing, infusion therapy workflows, oncology services, and chronic care programs.
- Gather stakeholder input—from clinical, billing, and finance teams—to define user needs and product requirements.
- Develop and maintain a prioritized product backlog using data-driven methodologies.
- Write clear and actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and workflow diagrams.
- Contribute to product roadmap planning, release scoping, and cross-functional alignment.
- Translate complex revenue cycle processes into product features.
- Break down infusion- and oncology-specific workflows, including necessary payer and billing logic.
- Identify system gaps, pain points, and opportunities for automation or process improvement.
- Create documentation including business requirements, product specs, and operational workflows.
- Work closely with engineering, UX, billing operations, clinical teams, and finance to ensure clarity and alignment.
- Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, grooming, and review sessions.
- Provide subject matter expertise to engineers and designers to ensure functional accuracy.
- Partner with QA teams to ensure coverage of real-world billing and infusion workflows.
- Perform user acceptance testing with operational and financial stakeholders.
- Ensure product alignment with healthcare regulations.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience in healthcare operations or medical billing.
- Strong background in healthcare revenue cycle processes.
- Experience supporting infusion therapy or oncology workflow operations.
- Accounting literacy; certificate or coursework preferred.
- Experience with month-end reconciliation and collaboration with finance teams.
- Ability to write well-structured user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical/operational documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
