About the role
- Manage a portfolio of products, achieving or exceeding designated sales, profit and market share targets.
- Develop and execute all elements of the business plan on time and in full.
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge and understanding of brand attributes.
- Conduct analysis of the market to understand market dynamics and drivers to anticipate future trends.
- Prepare SWOT and PEST analyses.
- Translate data into meaningful insights to identify and develop brand positioning and strategy.
- Set pricing and channel strategy for the brand(s).
- Develop and execute the marketing plan in line with sales, profit, market share and spend targets.
- Implement best in class communication plans that are efficient and effective.
- Develop high impact advertising (ATL) and promotional programs (BTL).
- Regularly measure achievement of KPIs and ROI.
Requirements
- Brand Manager experience within the Pharmaceutical OTC, FMCG, or Life Sciences industries.
- Experience in marketing of Pharmaceutical OTC within Australia (Essential)
- Proven track record of developing and leading both above-the-line (ATL) and below-the-line (BTL) campaigns to deliver to agreed communication strategy, including working with key agency contacts.
- Experience marketing products sold across the pharmacy and / or grocery channels.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in managing a brand P&L.
- Experience in managing brand advertising and promotional spend (A&P).
- Experience in project management and leading new product development (NPD) projects including commercialisation into market.
- Ability to develop strong cross-functional relationships.
- Ability to present information and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience using scan or ex-wholesaler data reporting (Aztec, IQVIA, Circana or Nielsen) with the ability to distil data into actionable insights and recommendations for decisions.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Brand Management.
- Degree in marketing or a related business discipline (Desirable).
- Understanding of the TGA guidelines in relation to advertising of therapeutic products (Essential).
