Registered Nurse, Unit Supervisor – Infusion Center
Inova HealthRegistered Nurse (RN) Unit Supervisor at Inova Schar Cancer Institute overseeing clinical operations and ensuring quality care. Full-time role with day shift, Monday to Friday in Woodbridge, VA.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a front line leader accountable for delivering highly reliable results related to quality and best practices to improve the clinical operations of the unit.
- Embrace, use and understand the research behind nursing practice and quality tools.
- Support unit based shared governance and decentralized decision making structures and processes.
- Act as a role model who leads by example in delivering "Service Always" and prioritizing patient experience.
- Seek opportunities to meet the unique needs of each person Inova Health System serves – every time, every touch.
- Act as an engaged team member supporting Inova's "People Priority" through care, appreciation, recognition, coaching, mentoring and encouragement.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Certification - Basic Life Support; Specialty certification (as required by unit) within 12 months of hire; Chemotherapy/biotherapy within 3 months of hire.
- Completion of a revised Charge Nurse workshop within 3 months of hire
- Licensure - Licensed Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Experience - 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Education - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or Associate's Degree RN within 1 year of completing their BSN)
