About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, coach, and develop a team of manual QA engineers in Tallinn, supporting both performance and career growth
- Manage day-to-day team operations, including planning, workload balancing, prioritization, and delivery follow-up
- Act as the primary local point of contact between the Tallinn QA team and remote leadership
- Ensure clear goals, expectations, and accountability within the team
- Support hiring, onboarding, and retention of QA team members
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and stakeholders to ensure testing priorities align with business needs
- Oversee testing activities, defect management, and quality reporting across ongoing deliveries
- Review and improve QA processes, workflows, and team ways of working
- Define and maintain release readiness criteria to ensure high-quality product launches
- Identify risks, bottlenecks, and resource needs, escalating where needed
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to broader QA strategy and standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS/MS degree in Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in software testing, with strong manual QA expertise
- Previous experience leading, mentoring, or managing QA engineers
- Demonstrated people leadership skills, including coaching, motivating, and performance management
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and QA methodologies
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in an international environment
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and conflict resolution skills
- Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and changing priorities
- Hands-on experience with test case design, execution, and defect management
- Familiarity with databases, Linux, and Python
- Fluent English communication skills
