About the role
- Holistic design of complex data center projects from initial concept through to implementation.
- Definition of project objectives and conducting detailed requirements assessments.
- Project management and specialist planning of electrical systems, in particular medium- and low-voltage switchgear, UPS systems, backup power generators (NEA) and transformers.
- Creation of wiring diagrams, circuit diagrams and technical drawings for electrical installations.
- Performing technical calculations such as short-circuit current and selectivity calculations, as well as lighting design.
- Developing sustainable solutions to optimize power supply and energy efficiency (Power Usage Effectiveness – PUE).
- Documentation and quality assurance according to project-specific requirements and current norms and standards (e.g., VDE, DIN).
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (Diploma, Bachelor's or Master's).
- Several years of professional experience in planning and implementing power supply projects, ideally in critical infrastructure (data centers).
- Cross-disciplinary technical understanding, particularly of interfaces with HVAC and building automation.
- Solid knowledge of relevant regulations, standards and guidelines (e.g., VDE standards).
- Confident use of specialist software such as CAD (AutoCAD, Revit) and tools (e.g., Simaris, WSCAD or EPLAN).
- Willingness to travel (Frankfurt, Nuremberg, Munich areas) and possession of a valid driver's license (class B).
