About the role
- Own quality for multiple projects in various domains across multiple data types (text, image, video, speech, multimodal)
- Architect solutions at individual task and program level; drive success and continuous improvement
- Conduct detailed qualitative and quantitative analyses; summarize and communicate results to stakeholders
- Design and implement best practices to monitor auditor performance and create metrics/analytics
- Apply appropriate quality approaches and metrics for human evaluation tasks
- Hire, coach, and develop QA/training leads and language/labeling specialists
- Develop and administer training programs and review/update training content
- Perform internal audit lifecycle: planning, implementation, feedback, re-auditing
- Provide actionable feedback to individuals and teams; direct Root Cause Analyses for missed KPIs
- Explore and implement automation for quality control, improvement, and reporting
- Synthesize data, discover trends in accuracy, and translate QA recommendations
- Review project guidelines for alignment with client expectations; create process documentation
- Shadow specialists, fill in audits across projects, and determine additional QA processes/metrics needed
Requirements
- Advanced degree in humanities/social sciences (Master’s or Ph.D.) preferred
- Bachelor’s degree accepted or alternatively 3 years of data analysis and personnel leadership experience
- 2+ years’ experience in a quality control environment
- Possesses exceptional writing and editing skills
- Incredible attention to detail and nuance
- Strong practical experience with Excel (PivotTable, Charts, Statistical functions)
- Experience writing guidelines and labeler/annotator feedback
- Experience being a leader and managing a team to produce high quality work
- Experience with Tableau/Power BI or other similar tools is a plus
- Experience with Python as a tool for automation is a plus
- Legally authorized to work in Canada or the US (application question)
