About the role

  • Provide technical vision and architectural leadership, and AI-driven feature execution across engineering teams, ensuring cohesion across systems, services, and platforms.
  • Drive decision-making for foundational system components: service boundaries, infrastructure standards, platform interfaces, and data architecture.
  • Champion an “AI-first” engineering culture by evaluating, designing, and implementing AI-native capabilities into the core product development lifecycle and internal tooling.
  • Partner with product, design, and data teams to prioritize and integrate ML/AI solutions that create operational leverage and customer value.
  • Design resilient, scalable, and high-performance systems that support inKind’s rapid growth across all tools, internal, and customer facing.
  • Lead reviews for critical architecture and code decisions with an eye for long-term maintainability, observability, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Influence cloud infrastructure strategy in areas such as CI/CD, observability, infrastructure-as-code, security, and networking.
  • When necessary work hands on to prototype, unblock teams, and drive execution during high-priority or high-risk initiatives.
  • Set technical standards and best practices via code contributions, design documents, and peer reviews.
  • Partner directly with the CTO and other senior leadership to shape and communicate long-term technical roadmaps.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to engineering, product, data science, and business stakeholders, aligning technical vision with company priorities.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience as a Software Architect
  • Proficient with AI-assisted coding tools like Cursor, Codex, Claude Swarm, or similar.
  • Expertise on designing scalable performant data models at the data base and api level.
  • Strong experience with ReactJS for frontend development.
  • Expert-level knowledge of SQL and relational data modeling.
  • Proficient in at least one modern backend framework (Node.js, Django, Rails, etc.).
  • Proven track record of building products or complex features from the ground up.
  • Background building, maintaining, and supporting high-traffic production systems
  • Strong communicator able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in end-to-end feature ownership in production environments.
  • A solid grasp of security concerns relevant when designing endpoint payloads.
  • Hands-on experience with Rails or Python microservices (nice to have).
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes or AWS deployment pipelines (nice to have).
  • Experience building or maintaining scalable distributed systems (nice to have).
