About the role
- Own the reliability, performance, and scalability of Injective’s infrastructure across cloud and bare metal environments
- Design, deploy, and operate production-grade Kubernetes clusters
- Manage application delivery using Helm and ArgoCD (GitOps workflows)
- Build and maintain infrastructure using Pulumi and Ansible
- Deploy, operate, and optimize blockchain nodes and supporting services (validators, indexers, RPC, etc.)
- Design systems for low latency and high throughput, especially for trading and market data workloads
- Operate and scale streaming systems such as Kafka or Redpanda
- Maintain and improve observability across the stack (metrics, logs, tracing), with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and optionally Signoz
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across Kubernetes, networking, and Linux systems
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to support product and protocol development
- Identify bottlenecks and drive improvements across performance, reliability, and scalability
- Participate in on-call rotations for mission-critical systems
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Infrastructure / DevOps / Platform Engineering roles
- Deep expertise in managing production-quality Kubernetes clusters, with experience in large-scale cluster operation being a significant advantage.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Helm, ArgoCD, Docker
- Pulumi and/or Ansible (preferred over Terraform)
- GCP as a primary cloud, with working knowledge of AWS or Azure
- Experience managing bare metal infrastructure, including provisioning, networking, and performance tuning
- Proven ability to operate high-performance, large-scale systems, ideally in blockchain or trading environments
- Experience with blockchain systems (Ethereum, Tendermint/Cosmos SDK, or similar)
- Experience with high-throughput messaging systems (Kafka, Redpanda)
- Strong understanding of Linux systems and low-level debugging
- Experience designing for high availability, fault tolerance, and low latency
- Familiarity with observability systems (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry; Signoz is a plus)
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, firewalls, VPNs)
- Knowledge of advanced security practices, database administration (ie. mongoDB), and high-throughput message queues.
- Fluent in English
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
- Based in a timezone with significant overlap with US Eastern Time (ET)
