About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support, monitor, and operate a production agentic AI platform running on AWS
- Ensure services are available, responsive, and appropriately scalable under real-world load
- Own incident response end-to-end, including triage, resolution, documentation, and prevention follow-through
- Manage infrastructure across multiple AWS accounts and production/non-production environments
- Lead release management and weekly operational rituals
- Build, deploy, and evolve infrastructure through automation and infrastructure as code
- Research and evaluate cloud infrastructure solutions and make recommendations
- Enforce engineering best practices
- Identify solutions from rough direction, gather feedback, and deliver them
- Monitor security tooling and participate in security scans and vulnerability reviews
- Maintain compliance with security and data protection requirements
- Manage the backlog, track work, and report progress to stakeholders
- Collaborate with the platform development team on changes and deployments
- Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, and sprint reviews/closures
- Partner on sprint priorities, product backlog, and cross-team dependencies
- Surface issues proactively
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of hands-on DevOps or platform engineering experience at senior, staff, or director level
- Demonstrated ownership of production SaaS environments
- Sound, independent infrastructure decision-making
- Deep AWS expertise, including multi-account management and production SaaS environments
- Infrastructure as Code fluency in Terraform, AWS CDK, or both
- Production-quality Python and TypeScript coding skills
- Automation-first approach
- Serverless infrastructure experience
- Centralized logging and log management at scale
- Metrics, monitoring, alerting, and reporting tooling experience
- Structured release management process experience
- Ability to manage backlogs, track commitments, and communicate status proactively
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguity and take rough direction
- Commitment to engineering best practices and long-term ownership of complexity
