About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned Specialty Pharmacies.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with SP partners to optimize patient experience and program performance.
- Monitor and analyze SP performance metrics, including; Time to therapy, Benefits investigation turnaround, prior authorization approval rates, prescription conversion rates.
- Ensure SP adherence to program requirements, including turnaround times, documentation standards, and patient outcomes.
- Track patient progress within the Specialty Pharmacy Network, ensuring reconciliation.
- Resolve escalated patient access, benefits and fulfillment issues in collaboration with SP partners.
- Partner with FRMs to address provider and patient access barriers; serve as an escalation point for case issues.
- Provide FRMs with insights on SP processes, payer dynamics, and access trends.
- Partner with FRMs to identify trends in access challenges and develop coordinated solutions across territories.
- Ensure data integrity and alignment between HUB systems and SP reporting.
- Collaborate with HUB teams (case management, BI, PA, patient support) to ensure efficient case progression.
- Communicate program updates, SP changes, and process enhancements to HUB teams.
- Support training and continuous education for HUB teams on SP specific requirements and workflows.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in specialty pharmacy, HUB services, patient support, or reimbursement.
- Strong knowledge of HUB operations, SP workflows, payer landscape, and access processes.
- Experience working with FRMs or in provider-facing roles.
- Direct experience with major SPs (e.g., Accredo, CVS Specialty, Optum, Walgreens) preferred.
- Therapeutic area experience (e.g., oncology, rare disease, immunology, dermatology) preferred.
