About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for developing and executing sales activities within an assigned region
- Provide field-based leadership to a team of Account Managers
- Drive performance through effective coaching, talent development, and strategic oversight
- Ensure sales goals are consistently met or exceeded
- Recruit, hire and manage a high-performing team
- Coordinate in-field activity to achieve results with agreed-upon accounts
- Develop and execute business plans to meet and exceed sales objectives for the region
- Maintain required technical expertise to respond accurately to all questions regarding products, policies, and business-related issues
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree (BA or BS degree, preferably in life sciences or business administration)
- 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales management experience (managing field sales reps)
- Demonstrated sales history of success, leading teams, and developing talent
- Patient access and market access pull-through experience and knowledge
- Proven ability to deliver candid, effective feedback and efficiently manage performance
- Knowledge of FDA Marketing Compliance, PhRMA Guidelines, and the Sunshine Act
- Valid Driver’s License
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and mobile technologies
- Experience in fibromyalgia, rheumatology, neurology or pain management preferred
- Product launch experience preferred
