About the role

  • Drive regional sales performance by leading a team of Key Account Managers to achieve and exceed sales and activity targets
  • Translate national brand strategy into effective regional and territory-level execution
  • Monitor performance metrics and KPIs, proactively identifying gaps and implementing action plans
  • Conduct and document regular field rides to coach representatives on sales execution, clinical messaging, and account strategy
  • Develop individual performance plans to elevate selling skills, product knowledge, and business acumen
  • Provide ongoing coaching and performance management to direct reports, holding them accountable to expectations
  • Guide representatives in developing and executing strategic territory business plans
  • Ensure effective targeting, call planning, and stakeholder engagement across HCP offices, urgent care facilities, and pharmacies
  • Reinforce advanced selling skills including needs discovery, insight generation, and customized customer engagement
  • Ensure team demonstrates deep understanding of product, disease state, and market access landscape
  • Ensure compliant delivery of approved messaging aligned to regulatory and company guidelines
  • Utilize CRM and reporting tools to track activity, analyze performance, and drive data-based decisions
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of administrative responsibilities across the team
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, client partners, and senior leadership
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop top sales talent
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of Medical Device or healthcare sales experience with a track record of high performance
  • 2+ years of field sales leadership experience preferred
  • Ophthalmology or eye care experience strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to coach and develop sales representatives to achieve results
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Veeva), sales reporting tools, and Microsoft Office
  • A valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Ability to travel within assigned region
