About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete mechanical repair, overhaul and mechanical maintenance of compressed air equipment and associated products
  • Identify problems in air compressors and generators through electrical/mechanical fault finding using diagnostic equipment
  • Perform repairs to rectify issues and ensure equipment functionality
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance, including inspecting components, cleaning, lubricating, replacing filter kits, changing oil, cleaning oil and air coolers, and re-greasing motors
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to customers on troubleshooting, maintenance procedures, and equipment usage
  • Maintain accurate records of diagnoses, repairs, maintenance tasks, and parts used
  • Complete service reports, work permits, and other documentation
  • Adhere to safety protocols, complete Job Hazard Analyses, wear PPE, use personal locks and tags for machine isolation, and maintain a clean work environment
  • Contribute to company growth and profitability through excellent customer service
  • Travel within Australia and internationally as required
  • Work indoors and outdoors in construction sites, industrial facilities, or remote locations
  • Travel to customer sites for service calls and perform occasional overtime or weekend work
  • Coordinate service activities with service, sales, and administration colleagues
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with clients as the primary contact for service-related inquiries

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a maintenance field service environment
  • Commitment to workplace safety
  • Australian Manual Drivers Licence
  • Excellent customer service ability
  • Experience with pneumatic equipment
  • Fault-finding skills in compressed air equipment
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a busy, dynamic environment
  • Willingness to travel within Australia and internationally as required
