Area Sales Manager
Ingersoll RandArea Sales Manager responsible for market development and strategic customer engagement in Germany. Guiding clients on product optimization and managing sales processes for customer satisfaction.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- You develop and expand the market position through a strong on-site sales presence with customers
- You are responsible for strategic customer development by identifying potential and requirements and deriving target- and result-oriented sales measures
- You provide product and application consulting regarding product optimization, operating costs, energy efficiency, stocking concepts, service and maintenance contracts, and the development of customer-specific solutions
- You win back customers who are being supplied with spare parts by alternative suppliers
- You conduct sales negotiations, including technical and commercial contract review
- You manage internal interfaces to ensure the processes for quotes and orders
- In cooperation with Customer Service, you are responsible for establishing and expanding a service infrastructure in the sales territory by implementing external service partners
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ideally, you have completed a technical degree or a technical vocational qualification
- You have several years of field sales experience in a manufacturing company, ideally in mechanical and plant engineering or another technically innovative environment
- Experience in Mining / Food & Beverage / Wastewater / Oil & Gas is an advantage
- You are able to manage your tasks independently and align them economically using KPIs
- You demonstrate an independent, goal-oriented working style and persuasive, confident communication
- You are a team player and characterized by high self-motivation
- You are strong in closing deals and possess excellent negotiation skills
- You have very good, negotiation-level German and good, communicative English skills
- You are very confident in using common Microsoft Office applications
- You are customer-focused and bring high commitment and willingness to travel
