About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Market analysis
  • Analyze applications in healthcare (e.g., biopharma, laboratory vacuum, hospital/medical gases) and plastics recycling to identify growth opportunities.
  • Evaluate industries for resilience, regulatory trends and their relevance to sustainability.
  • Monitor competitors and product gaps to support sales and portfolio strategy.
  • Shape market segmentation and value propositions.
  • Support sales in managing key accounts through performance assessments and innovation planning.
  • Provide insights on applications and markets to inform customer strategies.
  • Lead acquisition of new strategic customers and develop compelling business cases.
  • Advise portfolio managers on trends, applications and competitor positioning.
  • Support new product development and the preparation of business cases.
  • Align pricing and value strategies with sales and product teams.
  • Sales support.
  • Deliver targeted trainings and technical support to increase sales effectiveness.
  • Close competency gaps through tools, coaching and tailored materials.
  • Collaborate with marketing on messaging, campaigns and promotional materials.
  • Enhance brand presence through trade shows, digital content and industry-specific activities.
  • Create and update training materials on health and plastics recycling. Act as a subject-matter and market expert for internal stakeholders, customers and external audiences (e.g., conference presentations, webinars and customer events).

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven vertical strategies that led to measurable revenue and margin growth
  • Strengthened positioning in health and plastics recycling through acquisition of major customers and market presence
  • Built internal capabilities across teams through regular training and collaboration
  • Recognized subject-matter expert trusted by internal and external stakeholders
  • University degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a related technical/commercial field
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in market development, product management or technical sales – preferably in industrial applications such as vacuum technology, compressors or sustainable technologies
  • Demonstrable success in managing strategic customers, identifying market opportunities and influencing cross-functional teams
  • Experience in healthcare, life sciences, plastics recycling or related sustainability-focused industries is a strong advantage
  • International business experience and very good English skills are required; additional languages are a plus
  • Travel requirement: this position requires more than 50% travel within Europe
