About the role
- Support quality control activities and ensure compliance with company and group standards.
- Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
- Monitor quality KPIs and help implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide on-site support during audits and inspections.
- Train and guide operators on quality procedures and best practices.
- Support supplier quality management.
- Continuous supplier development to improve overall supply chain performance.
- Support assembly and manufacturing operations in resolving quality issues.
- Manage rejection processes for supplied components.
- Maintain and update work instructions.
- Support Advanced Quality Planning activities for New Product Development (NPD) projects.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve quality issues and problem situations within assigned area.
- Assist in identifying and implementing automation and process optimization opportunities.
- Support installation, setup, and validation of new equipment and technologies.
- Ensure smooth machine settings and adjustments for production and prototype runs.
- Apply lean principles (Six Sigma) to improve production flow and reduce waste.
- Manage all new product introduction with disciplined up-front manufacturing involvement and program management deliverable execution.
- Collaborate with AME Engineer to develop and implement advanced manufacturing solutions.
- Act as a hands-on resource for troubleshooting and accelerating solutions on the shop floor.
- Manage engineering resources for all machining and assembly operations.
- Improve shop floor productivity and drivers controllable spending reduction.
Requirements
- Technical degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years in a manufacturing environment, preferably with exposure to both quality and process improvement
- Basic knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001, FMEA, SPC) and lean manufacturing
- Familiarity with CAD environments and 3D modeling is recommended
- Knowledge of Microsoft tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Interest or experience in automation and advanced manufacturing technologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach.
- Hands-on, shop-floor oriented mindset.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
