About the role
- designing, implementing and deploying microservices on K8S
- defining and building scalable model for deploying a global observability platform in multi-Claud, together with your fellow squad-members
- responsibility for the future of ING’s observability solution
- support the observability core team in running the core capabilities and increasing observability maturity across ING
- provide components for onboarding, data storage, dashboarding, alerting and offering observability insights to all ING engineers globally
- work within the Platform – Monitoring Data Pipeline (MDPL) to combine metrics, traces and logs from different sources
Requirements
- have strong knowledge of and extensive experience with microservices and monitoring
- have extensive knowledge of and experience with Azure DevOps pipelines
- have knowledge of Cloud Technologies, Ansible, Openshift, Cassandra and Kafka
- have experience with Terraform
- have experience with AI (LLM, Prompting, Coding)
- have 5+ years solid experience with Go / Java or Python
- have experience with Public Cloud providers (Azure, GCP) and solutions working on the cloud is an advantage
- have higher education in (Information) Technology or work experience that demonstrates you operate on this level
- have excellent command of the English language
- is formidable team player skills, empowering and challenging the squad members in a constructive way
- experience with OpenTelemetry (Logging, Metrics and Tracing) (extra points)
