About the role

  • Together with your squad, you will take a leading role (as Product Owner) in shaping a clear product vision and know how to delight our customers with a seamless, simple and smart customer journey.
  • As an experienced Product Owner well-versed in agile ways of working, you will build a squad, plan and run sprints, and keep the product backlog up to date.
  • With a strong sense for customer feedback, user data, market analysis and business objectives, you will describe and define product requirements and features end-to-end, prioritize and implement them, and take our customer onboarding to the next level.
  • To do this, you will work closely with other Product Owners and customer journey experts, manage local and global stakeholders, and bring everyone on board for product development.
  • To ensure transparency, you will maintain and develop thoughtful reporting dashboards and keep all stakeholders informed with regular reports.
  • Of course, you will ensure at every step that regulatory requirements, legal frameworks, customer needs and our ING standards are handled and upheld reliably.
  • Throughout, you will continuously seek ideas to improve our onboarding journey, analyze, test and optimize, always prioritizing quality and reliability at every stage.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in economics, business informatics/information systems or a related field, a technical or banking qualification, or several years of experience in the product area of a bank or fintech
  • Many years of professional experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role, ideally with a focus on onboarding processes
  • Strong expertise and deep understanding in the design of customer journeys
  • Solid know-how in project work, (IT) process management and, ideally, experience with digital customer interfaces and banking products / self-service solutions
  • Several years of experience in digital product development with a user focus
  • Experience in requirements engineering, data analysis (e.g., tracking data) and customer-journey mapping
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and governance
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex ideas clearly and understandably
  • Holistic thinking, systematic and independent working style, quick comprehension, and enjoyment of working in a team
  • Enthusiasm for innovation and a sense for sustainable solutions
  • Very good written and spoken German and English.
