About the role
- For assigned suppliers (TIER 2), identify global and local business needs, specifications and requirements as input for sourcing projects, category strategy and ongoing management of supplier relationships
- Share knowledge with Category Manager to develop and execute overarching forward looking global category strategy for suppliers (TIER2) in your scope
- Collaborate with global business partners to understand strategic priorities, align on sub(category) strategy and ensure adherence to the ING Procurement Policy
- Lead end to end global e-sourcing initiatives (RFI, RFQ/RFP, e-auctions) including gathering global requirements, market research, evaluate proposal, decision process (TCO analysis, scenario analysis, etc), conduct negotiation and awarding
- Manage third-party risk securing compliance with regulation and ING Policy and standards
- Perform supplier relationship management, performance management, issue management and resolution while facilitating supplier review and continuous improvement
- Support Category Management with negotiations, selecting preferred suppliers and establishing buying channels within assigned scope
- Play a role as strategic contributor in fields like ESG, procurement best in class practice, cost savings initiatives
Requirements
- Master degree or equivalent preferably in a relevant field, such as supply chain, (computer) engineering, business administration, or finance
- 2-6 years of experience in IT Procurement area and preferably in an international financial services provider organization
- Experienced subject matter expert in strategic sourcing and category management in IT Procurement in at least one of the domains of Hardware (Servers, Storage, Workplaces, Network, Data Centre equipment) and Telco
- Strong negotiation skills based on data and facts
- Experience in establishing global purchasing agreements directly with the IT suppliers (not via resellers) – drafting, reviewing, and negotiating
- Ability to build strong relationships with procurement and business stakeholders
- Proactive, independent approach and a good grasp of working in international environments
- Demonstrated resilience and ability to manage ambiguity and complexity
- Demonstrated very good organizational and communication skills, work in a multi-tasking environment, and ability to prioritize tasks
- Very good English skills (spoken and written) (B2/C1)
- Very good knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and E-Sourcing tools; experience with ERP systems or procurement tools is preferred
