About the role
- For assigned suppliers(TIER 2), identify global and local business needs, specifications and requirements as input for sourcing projects, category strategy and ongoing management of supplier relationships
- Share knowledge with Category Manager to develop and execute overarching forward looking global category strategy for suppliers (TIER2) in your scope
- Collaborate with global business partners to understand strategic priorities, align on sub(category) strategy and ensure adherence to the ING Procurement Policy
- Lead end to end global e-sourcing initiatives (RFI, RFQ/RFP, e-auctions) including gathering global requirements, market research, evaluate proposal, decision process (TCO analysis, scenario analysis, etc), conduct negotiation and awarding
- Manage third-party risk securing compliance with regulation and ING Policy and standards
- Perform supplier relationship management, performance management, issue management and resolution while facilitating supplier review and continuous improvement
- Support Category Management with negotiations, selecting preferred suppliers and establishing buying channels within assigned scope
- Play a role as strategic contributor in fields like ESG, procurement best in class practice, cost savings initiatives
Requirements
- Master degree or equivalent preferably in a relevant field, such as supply chain, (computer) engineering, business administration, or finance
- 4-5 years of experience in IT Procurement area and preferably in an international financial services provider organization
- Experienced subject matter expert in strategic sourcing and category management in IT Procurement in at least one of the domains of Software and SaaS, Hardware and IT Services
- Strong negotiation skills based on data and facts
- Experience in establishing global purchasing agreements directly with IT suppliers (not via resellers) – drafting, reviewing, and negotiating
- Ability to build strong relationships with procurement and business stakeholders
- Proactive, independent approach and a good grasp of working in international environments
- Demonstrated resilience and ability to manage ambiguity and complexity
- Demonstrated very good organizational and communication skills, work in a multi-tasking environment, and ability to prioritize tasks
- Very good English skills (spoken and written) (B2/C1)
- Very good knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and E-Sourcing tools; experience with ERP systems or procurement tools is preferred
