About the role

  • As a Senior Product Manager, you inspire relevant stakeholders across teams to strategically develop and manage solutions for identity verification, authentication, and authorization/approval processes.
  • You act as the central point of coordination and ensure that we meet the highest security standards while delivering an outstanding customer experience at every level.
  • You take ownership: you design and implement solutions while always keeping user experience, fraud prevention, the IT stack, and budget in mind.
  • Working with the team, you thoroughly analyze existing processes and app features, use user feedback and data to identify improvement opportunities, and distil your findings into clear specifications and customer journey maps.
  • Whether it's implementing measures to meet regulatory and internal requirements or taking responsibility for assets, you also handle governance, coordinate closely with stakeholders, and communicate transparently and professionally.
  • You produce clear work instructions and process documentation and actively maintain reporting dashboards and regular reports.
  • When collaborating and aligning with other stakeholders, product teams, and business units, you not only adopt the right tone but also take the lead when necessary.

Requirements

  • Several years of hands-on experience as a Product Manager working with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) in a team with a strong IT component
  • Extensive experience in requirements engineering and/or data analysis and customer journey mapping
  • Degree in Business Informatics or a related field, plus banking and technical experience, or an equivalent qualification
  • Proven ability to design and implement functional requirements (e.g. banking business processes including underlying technologies; practical experience with app and web channels)
  • Solid technical and domain knowledge in app development, online banking, and the associated regulatory landscape
  • Customer-focused with excellent track record in managing external service providers within a highly regulated environment
  • Analytical, systematic and independent working style, and a strong team player
  • Strong communication and persuasion skills
  • Ability to think beyond your immediate scope and develop sustainable solutions
  • Very good written and spoken German and English
