About the role
- Administer, design, and develop enterprise database systems to support organizational applications
- Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade database management systems
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning and optimization strategies
- Develop and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
- Ensure database security, integrity, and compliance with applicable standards and methodologies
- Implement and enforce database standards and best practices
- Support database development activities including schema design and query optimization
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in development, test, and production environments
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures
Requirements
- A four-year degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a related Information Technology (IT) role
- Demonstrated experience with database administration, design, and development
- Experience working with **Oracle** and/or **Microsoft SQL Server**
- Experience applying database standards and industry methodologies
- Active DoD Secret security clearance or higher
