About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provision and maintain Sonus / Cataleya translations
  • Configure SIP/ISUP/ISDN trunk group provisioning
  • Perform ISUP TCIC data-fill and SS7 / STP route-set provisioning
  • Call flow routing
  • Troubleshooting customer/network issues
  • TDM/SIP grooms & customer Maintenance (includes off hours)
  • Execute end-to-end SIP interoperability testing with customers (including off-hours when required)
  • Support Toll-free and LNP services
  • Complete other duties as assigned by your supervisor or key stakeholders
  • Own end-to-end translations and provisioning activities for customer and carrier services
  • Act as a technical escalation point for translation-related topics
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Network Engineering, Provisioning, and Customer Implementation teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience in Translations)
  • Experience supporting or provisioning SIP trunk groups
  • Familiarity with interoperability challenges between carriers, SBCs, and enterprise platforms
  • Experience executing and validating end-to-end SIP call testing
  • Familiarity with configuration and data formats (SIP headers, SDP, JSON/XML etc.)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to proactively identify risks in multi-carrier interoperability
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on first-time-right provisioning and testing
  • Experience working cross-functionally with: Network Engineering, Provisioning teams, Customer implementation teams
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical issues to both: Engineers (deep-dive level) and Non-technical stakeholders (clear, actionable summaries)
