About the role

  • Operate, maintain, and upgrade Elasticsearch clusters, including index management, cluster maintenance, reboots, and version upgrades
  • Automate infrastructure and operational processes using Ansible, focusing on readable, maintainable automation
  • Work daily with Linux-based systems in containerized environments using Docker
  • Design, implement, and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions for large-scale systems
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation supporting deployment, testing, and operational workflows
  • Perform performance analysis and troubleshooting on distributed systems handling very large data volumes
  • Collaborate with developers and other DevOps engineers to support custom services built around Elasticsearch using Java-based components
  • Participate in team rituals such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and on-call rotations with a best-effort response model

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience working as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar infrastructure-focused role
  • Solid experience working with Linux systems and containerized environments (Linux, Docker)
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools, especially Ansible
  • Experience operating or supporting distributed systems or data platforms at scale
  • Understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools, including version control and automated deployments
  • Practical experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or similar platforms
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on stability, scalability, and reliability
  • Comfortable collaborating within a team, sharing knowledge, and giving and receiving constructive feedback
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
