About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Coordinate AI pilots, establish success criteria, and track outcomes
Maintain and mature the AI governance framework with cybersecurity and other stakeholders
Maintain a countywide inventory of AI tools, vendors, pilots, and use cases
Manage access, licensing, token consumption, and costs for enterprise AI platforms
Coordinate with AI vendors on deliverables, demonstrations, and issue resolution
Lead AI Communities of Practice and support departmental AI champions
Coordinate onboarding, training, guidance, and support for AI users
Help departments identify high-value AI opportunities and share successful practices
Track adoption, costs, business value, and measurable efficiency gains
Develop executive dashboards and provide updates to County leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
Five or more years of experience managing technology initiatives or enterprise software projects
Experience with generative AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude
Understanding of AI governance, privacy, cybersecurity, and responsible AI practices
Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
Public-sector experience preferred
Experience with AI governance, licensing, vendor management, and enterprise software administration preferred
Change management, training, facilitation, and stakeholder-engagement experience preferred
Agile, PMP, or related project management experience or certification preferred
Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Office 365, and related enterprise AI and productivity platforms
