About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversees operation and staff engaged in the servicing and distribution of vehicles and other equipment
Provides direction and leadership for all vehicle and equipment fueling, charging, and cleaning services
Manages an efficient workflow and verifies units have been properly serviced to maintain safe and efficient operation of the service lines
Supervises the bus bill out/distribution processes and Motor Pool process
Completes relevant paperwork and reports timely and accurately; includes ensuring that all service actions and bus assignments are properly documented
Communicates effectively via email and related software system(s)
Prioritizes work and deal with conflicting workload requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need

Formal trade school or an associate’s degree in automotive, diesel or engineering program or a related field preferred
Two (2) or more years of professional warehouse and/or logistics experience preferred; union environment experience preferred
Valid Indiana Driver’s License is required.
Comprehensive knowledge of vehicle operations and service
Operational knowledge of mandated safety principles related to personal protective equipment, chemical hazards, lockout/tag out and general shop safety and cleanliness practices
Ability to process and analyze data, analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implementing recommendations.
Proficient in using a computer and related technology, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, the internet, software applications, and complex spreadsheets and databases.
Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage tasks and time effectively.
Proficient mathematical abilities (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, ratios, and fractions).
