Workforce Development Coordinator
IndyGoWorkforce Development Coordinator at IndyGo connecting community organizations and candidates. Responsible for outreach, events, and tracking initiatives to improve recruitment processes.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate partnership efforts with local community organizations, non-profits, reentry programs, workforce development agencies, and technical/vocational schools.
- Support and execute outreach strategies to attract candidates from traditional and non-traditional talent pools.
- Serve as a point of contact for community-based recruiting initiatives.
- Coordinate and attend job fairs, hiring events, and community career expos.
- Represent the company at events in the community, promoting our employer brand and career opportunities.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure event materials, branding, and logistics are aligned with company standards.
- Partner with management and the Talent Acquisition team to understand workforce needs and align community outreach accordingly.
- Track and report on outreach activities, events, return on investment, and partnership effectiveness.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve workforce development community partnership strategies.
- Ability to work outside core business hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm periodically, including nights and weekends, as business needs dictate.
- Operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and printer.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associates degree with coursework in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development, Public Affairs, Nonprofit Management, Human Services, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- One (1) to two (2) years of experience in recruiting, workforce development, community outreach, education, nonprofit, public sector, or related fields preferred.
- Experience building partnerships with community organizations, educational institutions, workforce development agencies, or similar organizations preferred.
- Experience using databases, tracking systems, client relationship management systems, and applicant tracking systems is preferred.
- Valid Indiana Driver's license.
