About the role
- Define and evangelize a compelling vision for an AI-native data ecosystem and connect infrastructure to business outcomes
- Partner with the ELT and department leaders to translate business strategy into data requirements
- Architect strategy for company-wide data fluency and natural-language access to data
- Lead design and implementation of a modern, scalable, and reliable data stack (current tools include Looker Pro, Snowflake, Redshift, Fivetran)
- Challenge and partner with engineering and data teams to deliver high-velocity, high-quality results and ensure architectural integrity
- Simplify, document, and share data transformations to improve existing BI and unlock platform migration
- Establish secure, scalable data ingestion (including PII) and build AI foundations for natural-language querying
- Mentor and grow the data team, foster a culture of excellence, and drive organizational adoption of data practices
Requirements
- 8+ years in data leadership (data engineering, data platform, analytics), with at least 3 years managing high-performing teams
- Proven experience building and scaling modern data stacks (Snowflake, Looker, Redshift, Fivetran, dbt, etc.)
- Track record of leading transformative data programs — from BI modernization to AI-native platforms
- Deep technical fluency in modern data architecture (ELT/ETL, Warehousing, BI visualization, Data Governance, and emerging AI/ML tooling)
- Strategic product mindset: experience shaping ambiguous challenges into a clear vision and an executable, prioritized roadmap
- Exceptional communicator and collaborator; able to earn trust across execs, engineers, and business stakeholders
- Comfortable diving into technical architecture and debating schema design
