About the role
- Responsible for reviewing and coding medical records for outpatient encounters
- Ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and policies
- Plays a critical part in accurate coding for insurance billing, reimbursement, and patient care services
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in medical coding (Outpatient, Multispecialty, SDS, ED Facility, Revenue Integrity, Observation, and Acute Coding)
- Experience/knowledge in Infusion, Hydration, and Injection Coding
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Familiarity with payer-specific rules, LCD/NCD guidelines, and HIPAA compliance
- Proficiency with EHR systems and coding tools
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
