Oversee projects related to neutralization and passivation of refining and petrochemical processes (acid washes, caustic treatments, metal treating).
Plan and execute RTI’s reactive chemistry processes and provide operations approval for RC projects.
Review neutralization plans for RC projects and participate in post-project reviews.
Provide in-field supervision and perform as lead on projects as necessary.
Participate in and lead reviews of client shutdown procedures to improve clearing plans and integrate RTI Neutralization procedures.
Coordinate with Directors of Business Development or Supervisor on planning schedules, chemistry allocation, staffing requirements, and presentations.
Create a culture of learning and continuous improvement for the RC business and help develop training and certification processes.
Identify business opportunities in new industries and additional applications in refining (pH treat Merox units, ammonia plants, amine treaters, caustic treaters, sour water units).
Help develop and maintain applicable work processes and standards and acid-washing processes for operations organization.

Requirements
Familiar with operations of refineries, chemical plants, and/or upgraders.
Minimum of 5 years of process engineering or operations at a refinery, chemical plant or upgrader.
Sulfuric alky process operations experience (preferred).
High pH / low pH neutralization experience (preferred).
Experience as a chemist in a refinery and/or Petrochem facility (preferred).
Ability to confidently lead a team of Operations Managers and lead by example.
Communicate clearly and effectively.
Efficiently and effectively handle multiple activities at one time.
Quickly and thoroughly review cleaning plans.
Comfortably meet with client leadership and participate in technical business development discussions.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Must pass a pre-employment physical and be able to meet physical demands (respiratory protection medical clearance, fit testing, climb ladders, lift up to 40lbs, push/pull up to 100lbs, stand/walk 12–16 hours).
Willingness to travel extensively (likely 100-120 nights away from home per year).
