About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and evolve the Microsoft Fabric architecture, including medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold layers), data pipelines, and mirrored/non-mirrored databases
  • Develop Power BI solutions using expert-level data modeling and reporting standards
  • Help shape the AI roadmap by designing AI-ready data architecture, including semantic layers and medallion structure
  • Partner with DBA, DevOps, and application teams to design scalable, production-ready data solutions
  • Interpret SQL Server database logs, identify performance issues, and support high-availability, 24/7 production environments
  • Support API integrations for data access and exchange across systems
  • Design and maintain observability practices across the data platform using tools such as Azure Log Analytics and KQL
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, patterns, and standards for the broader data and AI platform strategy
  • Contribute to technical development

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Senior-level experience in data solution design, including schema design, system integration, and scalability planning
  • Hands-on Microsoft Fabric and/or Power BI expertise
  • Experience designing AI-ready data architectures, including semantic layers and medallion structure
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with data pipeline design and optimization
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server performance monitoring concepts
  • Experience with medallion architecture and cloud data warehousing patterns
  • Hands-on experience with Fabric Data pipelines or similar pipeline/orchestration tools
  • Experience with API-based data integration
  • Solid understanding of the Azure ecosystem and data-related services, including App Services, VMs, Blob Storage, Log Analytics, and networking basics
  • Python, Fabric notebooks/Spark, or exposure to MLflow/model registry concepts
  • Familiarity with Fabric’s AI-adjacent capabilities and AI grounding over data concepts
  • Working knowledge of PowerShell and/or Azure DevOps dashboards/pipelines
  • Familiarity with Power BI Embedded or similar embedding frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, or emerging analytics patterns
  • Familiarity with RAG, vector/embeddings concepts, AI agents, or responsible AI/governance principles
  • Experience with statistical analysis, forecasting, or health-related analytics is a differentiator
