About the role

The IT Software Engineer IV builds and maintains our corporate websites and web applications.
This role is independently responsible for the entire lifecycle of their projects including engineering design, development, and deployment.
The IT Software Engineer IV leads or significantly contributes to medium-to large releases; usually multi-person projects that cross engineering team boundaries.
They are also responsible for growing team capability by teaching, mentoring, and leading other engineers.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
5+ years of software development experience in a production environment
Demonstrated history of providing high impact technical contributions to the team
Experience in leading or significantly contributing to medium-to-large releases that involve multiple people and may cross team boundaries
Strong knowledge of Python
Strong knowledge of SQL databases
Strong knowledge RESTful APIs
Familiarity with Web technologies (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS)
Familiarity with Linux (Ubuntu Server and Desktop)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent technical troubleshooting skills
Experience with (Figma, Invision, Yarn, NPM, Git)
Relational database experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL
Experience with Frameworks: Django, Drupal (Model-View-Controller framework or variation)
**Not required, but preferred: **
Familiarity with Docker / Containerization
Familiarity with Postman / Swagger (API testing tools)
Familiarity with SASS (CSS preprocessor)
