About the role

  • The IT Software Engineer IV builds and maintains our corporate websites and web applications.
  • This role is independently responsible for the entire lifecycle of their projects including engineering design, development, and deployment.
  • The IT Software Engineer IV leads or significantly contributes to medium-to large releases; usually multi-person projects that cross engineering team boundaries.
  • They are also responsible for growing team capability by teaching, mentoring, and leading other engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of software development experience in a production environment
  • Demonstrated history of providing high impact technical contributions to the team
  • Experience in leading or significantly contributing to medium-to-large releases that involve multiple people and may cross team boundaries
  • Strong knowledge of Python
  • Strong knowledge of SQL databases
  • Strong knowledge RESTful APIs
  • Familiarity with Web technologies (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS)
  • Familiarity with Linux (Ubuntu Server and Desktop)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent technical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with (Figma, Invision, Yarn, NPM, Git)
  • Relational database experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL
  • Experience with Frameworks: Django, Drupal (Model-View-Controller framework or variation)

  • Familiarity with Docker / Containerization
  • Familiarity with Postman / Swagger (API testing tools)
  • Familiarity with SASS (CSS preprocessor)
