About the role
- Assist in planning and delivery of ICA’s Educational Programming & Resources
- Assist in the development of an online asynchronous course using Learning Management Systems
- Assist in the development of new curricula and workshops on topics related to climate justice and Indigenous rights
- Organize and attend gatherings to promote the climate curriculum and associated Climate Leadership program
- Ensure the climate curriculum and Climate Leadership program address an array of regional needs and necessary skills
- Support the evaluation and improvement of the climate curriculum and Climate Leadership program based on testing and feedback
- Support program participants in program follow-up
- Work closely with the Manager of Education and Training and report to the Steering Committee when required
- Regular reporting to the Manager of Education and Training on project progress
- Create and maintain positive partnership relationships
- Assist in the creation of funding reports, annual reports, including public communications for audits and public reports
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in curriculum development
- 2-3 years of community engagement skills or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience working with Indigenous communities, organizations, Nations and peoples
- Ability to take direction and work independently with little or no supervision
- Computer literate including Google Suite
- Member of an Indigenous community and fluency in an Indigenous language an asset
- Knowledge of Indigenous worldview and methodologies
