About the role

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications using C++, C, Java, Python, and C# to meet healthcare-specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and stakeholders to gather and analyze system requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Maintain and improve existing healthcare software systems, ensuring high performance, security, and compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA.
  • Write and maintain clear, efficient, and well-documented code, utilizing scripting languages and HTML5 for front-end and automation tasks.
  • Use Git for version control to manage codebase changes, collaborate with team members, and support continuous integration and deployment processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in C++, C, Java, Python, and C# programming languages.
  • Experience with scripting languages and HTML5 for web-based interfaces or automation.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop secure and compliant software solutions in regulated environments.
  • Relevant experience may substitute for educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
  • Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience working in the healthcare or social assistance industry (preferred).
  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards and regulations such as HIPAA and HL7 (preferred).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and containerization technologies (preferred).
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices (preferred).
  • Advanced degree or certifications related to software development or healthcare IT (preferred).
