About the role
- Maintain and maximize profitable relationships with commercial lines clients
- Grow the book of business through new client sales
- Identify, qualify, and develop commercial insurance opportunities
- Foster and maintain excellent relationships with clients
- Anticipate, respond to, and follow up on existing client needs
- Monitor, review, and report on key metrics to ensure sales targets are achieved
- Collaborate with team members and mentor staff
- Support clients for renewal and retention
- Maintain CE and ongoing education
Requirements
- Hold the insurance license required by your state
- Minimum of two years personal and commercial lines insurance account management experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or comparable work experience
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong knowledge of insurance products, rating procedures, underwriting procedures, and industry operations
- Proven track record of business to business sales success
- Strong presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Proficiency in technology and computer systems including agency management systems
