About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements
  • Prepare tax return source schedules and supporting audit schedules

  • Represent tax and accounting interests on new product and strategic initiatives and power upgrades
  • Prepare and review journal entries and monthly, quarterly, and annual schedules
  • Perform analytical procedures and prepare statements using GAAP and SAP methods
  • Review accounts payable invoices for accurate general ledger coding
  • Generate and review Workday financial summary reports and variance analyses
  • Investigate account reconciliation variances and document proposed solutions
  • Research accounting pronouncements and summarize operational and reporting impacts
  • Support affiliates with month-end closing and reporting responsibilities
  • Support regulatory and tax reporting filings
  • Develop and train tax and accounting staff
  • Coordinate information flow among accounting and other departments
  • Update procedure documentation and develop process improvements
  • Support strategic initiatives and new product policies and procedures
  • Develop and execute test scenarios for queries and finance interfaces
  • Mentor and train staff accountants, bookkeepers, and other organizational personnel
  • Produce timely financial information for management, auditors, and government agencies
  • Participate on interdepartmental teams and communicate information to the accounting department

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required, or four additional years of experience in lieu of degree
  • Four years of experience in accounting required
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of general ledger systems and spreadsheet experience required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Access), Visio and Project Planning software preferred
  • Detail-oriented documentation of complex processes, including workflow diagrams and action plans
  • Analytical skills to prepare and analyze business plans and technical designs
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to identify problems and recommend resolutions
  • No immigration or work visa sponsorship provided
