About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist pharmacy department activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
Maintain patient records
Set up, package, and label medication doses
Process equipment and supply orders
Prepare sterile products
Package and ship medications
Set up and optimize delivery routes
Maintain knowledge of pharmaceutical safety hazards and drug handling
Notify pharmacists of dispensing, storage, packaging, and related issues
Rotate stock, supplies, packaging materials, and shipping supplies
Maintain cleanliness of registered and packaging spaces
Follow standard written procedures and guidelines, with deviations approved by the supervising pharmacist

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or GED required
One year of experience working in a high-volume pharmacy or equivalent setting required
Ability to lift 40 lbs
Effective oral and written communication skills
Aptitude for working with other health care professionals
Must follow written pharmacy procedures and guidelines
National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred
Experience with an online claims processing system preferred
Immigration or work visa sponsorship will not be provided
