About the role

  • Assist in the provision of life cycle management of information technology solutions.
  • Assist/contribute to the development and testing of integrated computer-based information solutions.
  • Perform analysis of customer requirements and prepare recommended information solutions.
  • Contribute to the management and evolution of existing information systems and tools.
  • Address the overall solution in terms of quality, communications, data sources, software tools, user interfaces, etc.
  • Assist in the monitoring and scrutiny of assigned projects for the development and expansion of information systems.

Requirements

  • Requires a strong academic knowledge of computer science and associated subjects.
  • Requires communication skills, including report or business presentation skills.
  • Requires some exposure to the overall power system operation and electricity market operation.
  • Requires some experience as applicable to the particular specialty of the group.
  • Background could be related to the fields of: utilization of generation resources, market operation, reliability, control equipment, market entry, market information management, billing, market funds administration, and compliance and surveillance.
  • A period of over four years, up to and including six years, is considered necessary to gain this experience.
