Report the results of cyber security threat assessments with conclusions, recommendations for improvement, and planned management actions internal and external stakeholders.
Develop and maintain the applications and technology required to deliver IESO's Cyber Threat Intelligence and Cyber Security Information Sharing services.
Keep abreast of developments in the areas of geopolitics; cyber threats; legal, regulatory, corporate requirements; technological developments; and best practices in the Information Technology and Corporate Security field.
As required, lead projects, assign work, resolve problems and assess performance.
Assist in the investigation of identified security breaches, or concentrated attempts at breaching IESO security.
Will have access/handle confidentiality issues, requiring high level of trust and integrity.
Contribute to the development of cyber security and cyber threat intelligence standards and procedures consistent with corporate objectives and cyber security best practices to support cyber security programs at the IESO.
Deliver intelligence collection frameworks to support robust processes for the collection of information and identification of threats to the Ontario electricity sector.
Review, assess and analyze intelligence to support the IESO’s Cyber Threat Intelligence team and cyber security programs.
Deliver and support information security technologies and programs.
Review and update deliverables to ensure they meet the highest standards.
Work with business units to identify opportunities for collaboration and growth of the cyber security and cyber intelligence programs.
Collaborate internally with technology, cyber security, and other business units to support and enhance job functions.
Perform other duties/tasks/projects as required or assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a degree in an intelligence-related field (Political Science, Public Safety, Law Enforcement, etc.)
Requires a sound knowledge of computer science, information technology and telecommunications systems.
Certifications in the fields of Threat Intelligence, Cyber Security Incident Response, Security Operations, or related fields are beneficial.
Experience analyzing and reporting on Cyber Security incidents using models and frameworks such as the Cyber Kill Chain, Diamond Model, and MITRE ATT&CK.
Excellent written and oral communication skills to present threat analysis findings to internal and external stakeholders.
Experience coordinating/analyzing or managing enterprise security systems on a diverse set of computing platforms, operating systems and applications, especially Windows NT and UNIX.
A period of over 5 years, up to and including 10 years is considered necessary to gain this experience.
