About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist in coaching, counseling and guiding managers before executing employee disciplinary actions
  • Initial point of contact for employee concerns, may conduct investigations regarding concerns raised
  • Answers frequently asked questions from employees relative to standard policies & procedures, benefits, incorrect pay etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate People Team Members
  • Review, solve and respond to inquiries sent to the HR ticketing system
  • Process employee changes, such as promotions, transfers and terminations and ensure all employee data is up to date in HRIS
  • Supports the People Operations team with organizational tasks and various administrative duties
  • Oversee various stages across the Employee Lifecycle
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in HR or administrative roles
  • Previous experience in Employee Relations required, supporting a contact center or large hourly population preferred
  • Organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Preferred experience working with a human resource information system (HRIS)
  • Experience with Workday is a plus
  • Experience with Change Management and/or large scale transformation activities
  • Experience within a Center of Excellence model
  • Detail oriented; good verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work independently, establish priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Present information and respond to questions from groups of staff, managers, members, and other key stakeholders
  • Ability to address issues with discretion and professionalism while maintaining confidentiality.
