About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Works closely with veterinary hospitals, and policyholders to evaluate and review a pet’s medical history to determine a baseline of health.
- Investigates and processes assigned insurance claims, verifies coverage, and compensation amounts, per insurance policy.
- Updates Explanation of Benefits (EOB), pays and closes claim.
- May order medical records from providers.
- May communicate with clients and providers during treatment.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1 year relevant experience working in a veterinary clinic
- Must meet one of the following requirements: Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience (One-year relevant experience is equivalent to one year college); or Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
- Must have and maintain Adjusters license or must obtain within 90 days of hire
